I know this is a pretty lousy quality shot, but the fact that this is one pretty unique colored bee kinda outweighs the technical crappiness of the picture. A bee with GREEN EYES? And dig them stripes....think this little fluke of Nature? Nuh-UH! Just found out that this is actually a Long Horned Bee and supposedly pretty common round SoCal. Cool, ain't it?

Snowy Egret feeding her chick in the Rookeries behind Gatorland in Orlando, Florida. Can you see the half digested frog hanging out of mom's mouth trying to to to the chick? One of the frog's legs falls into the water where a waiting Blue Herons eats it.

Pond in Everglades at the start of Anhinga Trail, with plenty of new water from early May rains. The water is crystal clear with a tint of tanic acid to give it that rust colored look. That comes from Bald Cypress among other plants.
