Opinion: I just bought it. Love it for the pictures produce from this mini digicam.
It is compact, but still easy to handle, not too small like some IXUS.
So, it is replaced my 40D in some occasions when DSLR not suitable.
And, yes, because...... it's BLACK :)

Problems: Maybe Canon can use better "plastic" to A-Series Bodies. Some material that Nikon used on their D5000, D90, will be pleased. Or metal based, just like Sony W2xx, Fuji F50/F60fd, that won't add cost too much.

Opinion: Bought this as a "cheap" carry around. one that uses AA batteries and you wouldn't exactly kill yourself if you dropped it.
- Seems to built well and have lots of features.
- Image quality not bad in good light
- Some manual controls but not many

Problems: - Pretty hard to see the LCD outdoors in bright sunlight
- LCD is lower res than the more expensive cam's thus sometimes you think your image is bad until you put it on a PC.
