Opinion: The specs on DPreview say this cam does not have youtube capture mode, but it does. Also timelapse features and a 4 sec (not 1/2 sec) min shutter. The ex-s880 also has timelapse but the specs here say it does not.
What's up?
Opinion: I've always liked Casio cameras for their many features packed into a compact and stylish body. This camera, like my other Casio's has a beautiful movie mode. Best shot modes for pictures and movies and a built in video light for low light videos. It's like having a portable video cam that takes great pictures in a truely pocket sized camera. Real value for the money!
Opinion: Super compact.
Very fast start-up.
Best Shot modes are a huge help.
Fast focus in most all conditions.
Movie mode is incredible.
Sharpness, colors, all are very pleasing.
7X zoom is very nice.
Problems: No problems yet. :-)
I wish the owners manual was better.
I would have liked that there was an equiv. of a 28mm at bottom end of zoom.
The "low light" focus could be a little faster.
Opinion: I found this camera to be better than many Internet reviews suggest. The image quality compares with that of other P&S I have tried and the video quality is surprisingly good. Expect that the long end of the zoom range produces only fair results, but better than none. Having good light conditions makes a big difference.
The user interface provides many options, makes them user programmable, and easy to activate.
The build quality appears good. The camera is a bit heavy, but still ok.
Overall an enjoyable camera.
Problems: None encountered so far.
