Opinion: I'm not trying to be too clever here. I bought this a few weeks ago as back up to my Nikon SLRs. I use it for quick computer applications and odd grab shots. I used it a lot on a recent trip to the USA because I really didn't wish to carry my SLR case too often. It never let me down. Outdoors for general building and landscapes it produced excellent results. A feature I value is the ability to shoot in a 6x4 format so no cropping was needed to match with my favourite print size for 'memory' travel photos.
My ratings are not a critisism. This is just a good all round camera that will meet the needs of a keen snapshotter.

Problems: None.

Opinion: This camera takes excellent pictures and I really like the Best Shot feature. However. I did have to return this camera because recharging the battery is a major pain in the arse. Small battery - large finger obstacle. Furthermore, I am sort of tired of the take the battery out and stick it in the dock, and then back in the camera again, then recharge, then back in again, etc... Its getting old, when will these people learn to just build a built in battery. Plug the camera into the wall for a recharge! Make it simple!

Problems: Read above.

Opinion: Before buying this camera, I scoured the net reading reviews. Everything I saw gave it around 4.5 stars. Went to Staples and picked it up on sale for 149. Got it home, charged the battery, put it in and proceeded to take shots of everything in sight. Looked good on the LCD, but when downloaded I had to "fix" EVERY single picture, both manual pics and Easy Mode pics. I really liked the camera so I thought I would change some of the settings.....well, it didn't help. I tried for 2 weeks to like the pictures I got from this camera. The occasion that made me decide to take it back was taking pictures at my 2 sons Christmas program.....out of 90 pictures only 5 were considered to be printable. It seems that with this camera, anything 5-6ft is great....below or beyond that is grainy or very distorted. Also, when I took pictures of my kids within the 5ft range, I had to soften the flash to -2 and exposure to -1, because if I didn't they were ghosts. The pictures taken with this camera seemed to lack color....when editing I would have to add color to them. While I am an Amateur photographer, I do know a lot about ISO, Aperture, etc.etc. None of which seemed to make a difference. I don't understand however, after reading all the reviews on this camera how I could have received such horrible results. Maybe I had just got a bad one out of the batch, I'll never know, because since it was after Christmas, they had no more in stock. I went ahead and got a Canon A570 IS.......all I can say is WOW. Should have stuck with Canon to begin with........owner of Canon A610, Canon s2 IS and now Canon A570 IS.

Problems: Bad pictures.

Opinion: I had high expectations for this camera. I had heard great things about the Casio Exilim series, so I decided to go for it.

The image quality was an immediate let down. For a camera in the $200 price range, I expected some sort of image clarity. I took about 2 dozen pictures that I would normally take (of my cats, of the woods in my back yard, a few artsy angular shots, a few of my roommate) and none were impressive at all. Very little focus, hard to choose the focus point of the shot, and just poor quality.

I also think they might be trying to make the lens too wide for the body. I took a "hallway shot", where I shoot through a door, down the hallway into my office. The doorway and hallway were curved so much, you'd think that my house was about to fall down.

Also, the features were difficult to use. I'm often the person to show my friends how to use their cameras, so I'm no idiot when it comes to finding the features. This camera made me scratch my head a LOT. I returned the camera within an hour of purchasing it.

Problems: image quality, focus, features
