Opinion: Excellent Value! This camera is an all round work horse and will not dissapoint.

It has many of the features of more expensive SLR cameras but at a lot lower cost. Pictures are high quality and have good resolution for most snapshot and personal project purposes.

For the more serious photographer, I think that the lens may not be sufficient since there is no way to add filters etc. A polarizing filter option would be a really nice addition but you can't have everything at this price!

The camera is setup to be easy to use. The Best Shot feature is great since it allows you to get to the mode of operation quickly without messing with lots of menu options. If you want to then make further refinements to the mode, the menus allow you to do this. Eg the Best Shot mode: NightScene could be adjusted to use Tungsten Gamma correction opposed to the DayTime Gamma Correction (this would make scenery bluer at night instead of orangy/yellow). You can then save the new mode into your own Best Shot setup. This is very convienient.

Noise levels aren't too bad on long exposure, high ISO settings. This camera seems to be typical for this type of CMOS sensor.

Other nice features:
Movie mode @ 15fps AVI files
Manual Focus
Histogram display (useful for lighting characteristics)
Spot or center weighted light meter
Regular AA bateries can be used [big plus!!]
Small and light
Price!!! Good value for money.

Problems: None. Works flawlessly.

Things I would really like:

USB 2.0 highspeed transfer since file sizes are
getting bigger.
Faster Flash recharge time
Anti Shake/stability mode (not usually an issue for most
purposes).

Opinion: The camera operates extremeley fast and is great to capture spontaneous moments. It feels like a normal film camera. Very easy to operate with my medium sized hands. Metal construction feels solid and can easily fit in a pocket. It runs on AA batteries, which is good because AA batteries are availiable everywhere compared to proprietary batteries. Macro pictures of flowers look sharp with great detail. Great for daytime photos and indoor photos. Good for taking night photos with street light illumination (if not under night scene best shot mode, the camera assigns a shutter speed of 1/8, ISO at 200 for darkest environments).

Problems: It can take low light and night photography reasonably well under night scene best shot mode, but one needs a tripod because the camera usually assigns a long exposure time of 2 seconds or more. It would be nice to have direct control of the shutter and aperature in such case because I can take reasonably blurry free photos with my hands at shutter speeds as slow as 1/2 seconds and sometimes I don't need the longer exposure automatically set by the camera. Additionally, the noise reduction feature which kicks in at slow shutter speeds takes on average 10 seconds to process. (Canon's A-series cameras do a *much* faster job with noise reduction).

Opinion: Best travel companion I ever owned! Now that I have you attention, I searched this site for many cameras and never thought I'd find a good one made by a watch company. I have used just about every film camrea in the world and I wanted something small with a lot of simple capabilities. Once I got the 2500mah NiMH Batts & 512 mb SD card, I could shoot almost 200-6meg photos..WOW! I did have to sharpen all a little and the dark photos needed to be lightened, but so what? Also the flash range of 8.5' was challinging, This thing worked most of the time! I didn't use it as a pro, I used it like my wife..point & shoot!Metal body was real plus! I was really impressed for $ 199.00!

Problems: Not really; short flash dist., Manual book on disc..I printed it out..250 pgs!, No internal memory..who cares?, skip the loading software. I'd buy another in a heartbeat!
