Opinion: This is probably the best camera for its price. Loaded with a powerful flash. The image stabilization works wonders. Pictures taken in the "N" mode captures good quality low-light images. HD quality video exceeds expectations. Outstanding zoom and not very complicated. All in all, a well constructed well featured decent camera. and it's cheaper than cameras with the same features.

Problems: The B/W mode is a bit reddish

It might not show "low battery" before it goes off

Opinion: Ithicajim's already done an excellent review. I've been using my S2000HD for about eight months, and I agree with every point he made.

All in all, though, I'd say this camera works better as a camcorder that it does as a still device. In decent light (including any well-lit interior), the video quality is very good. So is the sound. The only point of major frustration is that it suffers from some wandering focus issues. For no apparent reason, it sometimes wants to refocus at inopportune moments. It also has great difficulty with focus during panning moves. The dual image stabilization also works better than I expected. As you're framing a shot at a high zoom setting, your hand shake will be annoying, but once you start the video, the EFV view suddenly stops wiggling. Sorta neat to see it work like that.

The still photo performance is less impressive. It has difficulty with exposure, particularly if the scene contrast is higher or lower than ideal. Shutter delay is also excessive. On the plus side, the flash is very strong for a digicam.

Opinion: In France where I live, this camera is provided with IR remote controle kit ,so I use 2 cameras to make Stereos photos , letf image , right image, because I can shoot simultanously the 2 cameras, even if there are movements on the landscape... .The image quality is top I dont see differences beetwen this Fujinon 2000 HD camera and my Canon EOS 400D ,probably due to the 2/3" sensor and progress in treatments processors. It is the rare bridge camera in the market to give us IR remote controle to shoot , and also display with a TV HD.

Problems: No problems , I hope only, that the shutter will get a long life.

Opinion: Remarkably good construction, feature set and image quality for the price. Actually I would rate it a best buy. Feels almost as well constructed as some of Canon's entry level DSLRs. Exposure bracketing, highly customizable settings - overall I'm quite impressed. I wear eyeglasses and I like the electronic viewfinder which is quite usable.

Problems: HD video quality is good but does suffer from exposure stepping, more visible in some situations than others. Strange blue cast visible on backlit subjects during composition does not appear on captured image!

Opinion: Quite a dinky camera, nice images if you take the time, set up & corresponding
choices a little confusing, I always seem to be jumping into the Menu for something.
Shutter delay & VF blackout on par for the price, I would have expected a little better
from Fuji. Once you have mastered the Menu system and the odd few buttons around
the camera it's a 'happy' family camera. Always carry spare batteries, it really needs a
rechargeable battery, I carry it in my car for those times when a camera is what you
need most. It does not disappoint.

Problems: No Problems, but watch battery drainage while setting up.

Opinion: I like this camera a lot. Sure its a little slow sometimes and you have to get used to the menu system. But it takes excelllent punchy sharp photos that need very little post processing and the 15x Wide zoom is outstanding. 27mm wide end is really useful in tight places. I am not sure why the battery complaints, I have the same set in that I charged up 2 weeks ago and have taken hundreds of shots with and without flash. Just make sure the rechargables you use are new and 2500MAH plus and I am sure you will find the same long life I am experiencing...
2 zone camera shake reduction works OK, better than in the past where Fuji would only boost the ISO and call it anti shake...
The 2 shot mode where it takes one with flash and one without very quickly is outstanding! As is the auction mode that you can combine up to 4 shots in one photo, excellent feature. Perfect for Ebay... All in all a winner in my book. I have 4 cameras to compare it to currently includling a DSLR, but prefer to carry the S2000HD...

Problems: The usual:

Don't like the loose large lens cap.
Wish I could delete right after taking. (Have to go to play mode)
No raw

But of course folks, lets look at this as what it is, an under $300 Compact Wide Zoom that takes great photos.
and OK, its not what DSLR's are made of. Buit its not supposed to be and you are not paying for it either. Enjoy it!
