Opinion: 1.Well-built.
2.Easy functions.
3.Good Zoom.
4.Large, but then most of the camera from that era usually are.

Problems: 1.Scroll button tends to get stuck at times.
2.Terrible after sale service.
3.Autofocus doesn't function in low light.
4.Drains even rechargable batteries very soon.

Opinion: Loved it at first. Good price, easy to operate, nice features, good image quality etc. If it weren't for battery problems it would be a great product.

Problems: The past year it started having battery issues. A firmware update was supposed to address the problem of batteries not lasting very long. That helped for about a month. This past weekend I went thru 3 sets of freshly charged batteries for less than 30 pix taken. I even tried regular non rechargeables, brand new out of the package, & the camera went dead before I even had a chance to take a single pic! Just turning it on & reviewing my pix drained the battery in less than 3 minutes.
So unless you want to bring multiple sets of batteries with you & change them constantly, I would avoid this camera. No wonder this model has been discontinued! Luckily I have an extended warranty & will be taking it in for repairs or replacement.

Opinion: Have mine for two years, very satisfied, it is now my back up, it is in my car always thru heat and cold, my primary camera now is a 12x zoom with IS since my hobby is aircraft photography.

Problems: It has lag time so make sure to use fast shot feature when shootingmoving subjects

Opinion: At first glance, for the price, it seems to represent decent value. The quality of pictures is ok, the features are fine, and for the size it provides decent performance.

All of these attributes, however are overshadowed by the well documented fact that the LCD display is incredibly fragile. It is a virtual certainty that it will fail during the camera's working life.

Problems: After a month, the LCD display cracked. The display is incredibly fragile. This design failure makes this camera totally unusable.
I definitely do recommend purchase. I have also purchased my camera at Future Shop and will try to obtain redress.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS CAMERA!

Opinion: CONSUMER BEWARE! The Live View screen is very fragile and does not appear to be tolerant to much pressure, ie, cleaning with a soft cloth, etc. Unit was returned to Future Shop and the store's manager blamed me for breaking the screen [though the appearance of the screen and rest of the camera looks new]. Warranty was voided. Future Shop would not budge. My $240 Canadian down the drain. Complained to HP via email and so far no response [their customer service Web site indicates a 1 hour response time]. The camera was only 1 month old, 30 odd pictures taken and always stored in a protective case. A very fragile piece of consumer electronics, in my opinion.

Problems: See above.

Opinion: I previously had an HP720. I was more than happy with it, but unfortunately I dropped it, and the Optical Lens got damaged. I was looking for something similar for a good price, and I did some extensive research on 3.2MP cameras. The HP-M307 came out on top compared to the Canon A400 and the Olympus c460 Zoom. The only better camera I could find was the Sony DSC-P8, but for more than double the price. This doesn't justify it. I would say this is the best Digital Camera to Buy for the price you pay.

Problems: NONE
