Opinion: What a joy to use, its small light and nice to handle. I take it almost everywhere, motorbiking, mountain biking, ideal for holidays. I've had it many years and it's not missed a beat. The case does have an annoying habit of switching the camera on, but I watch for that making sure the on off switch slider is clear of the case.
Who wants to carry an SLR around all the time? This is the ideal point and shoot camera, pity it's made in Japan but then I'm probably being snobbish. Colour of the pictures is very natural and the easy overides come in handy, easy to use menus and I cant praise this little gem highly enough. I thought aboout replacing it with the new version but why?
Problems: Absolutely none, stunning reliability.
Opinion: Excellent pocket camera. I've tried numerous combinatons of settings while using the program mode. It seems however, that the auto mode gets it right most of the time, which is good. An excellent out-of-the-pocket-for-a-quick-shot camera with acceptable to excellent photo quality.
Problems: None...
Opinion: I have used this camera quite a lot in the last year and a half. Picture quality is very satisfying in daylight conditions. I've found it more or less the ideal compact camera for making holiday pictures, because of its very small size and good picture quality.
Problems: I've had a problem with dust in the camera, causing spots on every picture. Cleaning was quite expensive. After this I bought the very beautiful leather case from Leica (also expensive!), I did not want dust in the camera again. But the hard case caused another problem: the camera can easily be switched on accidentily while stored in its case. This means the lens wants to come out but is halted by the case. This causes an error, which could be solved by switching the camera off and on again. Until yesterday, now it is completely out of order and repair will of cause be: expensive!
