Opinion: Got this camera around 8 months back. The photos are real good if taken in bright light outside. The night time shots come out pretty well if I use a tripod. The night potrait and the night landscape are good, only if I use a tripod, because even a minor shake is taken into account. Well .. The camera has all good features for a beginer. If you need to experiment on Aperture and shutter speed, this is not the camera. This is a plain point and shoot camera which has some preset settings for night modes. It even has the face priority modes. But I dint find anything interesting there.
On the whole its a good camera .. users might find some issues with the delay that this camera causes to record images which are taken with flash.
A tripod is very much recomended.
And battery lilfe is horrible.

Problems: Timer is 10 seconds and the fireworks mode doesnt have a timer.
The time taken for recording a picture (taken with flash) is huge, in the order of around 3-4 seconds. So cant take photos continuously if flash is used. I doubt if its the charging time of the flash.
Battery life -- horrible. It uses power like crazy. Iam thinking of going for an adapter.

Opinion: The Stuff is very good, with several features. The Features like face priority, and image modes are useful very much. The main thing is to learn the camera very very well before use and complaining.

Problems: No problems found so far.

Opinion: This camera is horrible. It's slower than my old Olympus D510. The focus is slow, screen is slow, pic to pic time with flash is soooo slow (8-10 seconds!). Most pictures in low light (2 60W bulbs) in basic room, were blurry. Unless your shooting a still object in bright light, don't buy this camera.

I bought this camera for my wife to have something small to put into here purse. I liked the 5X zoom, but even that is slow. Maybe I'm spoiled with my Panasonic FZ20. I'm tanking this back and getting her a Canon A620.

Problems: VERY VERY SLOW!!!

To slow to be a useable camea IMO.

Opinion: a quirky but good image camera that leaves the user with little or no options for in camera sharpening or aperatre or priority or custom controls except a few scene controls and choice between movies and camera. That leaves the total experience of the camera to auto mode. Add to that it doesn't have a competitive buffe or viewfinder and one can really be disappointed with nikon for stripping down an otherwise excellent camera.r, I still have not learned how to use the digital zoom but so far and this is the most important part, it takes very decent pictures except in low light..The battery compartment and overall build seems a bit cheap with the batteries when installed will not allow the door to close but that has to be just a errant camera thing. But and this is giant but I simply like the image I get from this. It doesn't get the detail like panasonic z5 simply because it can't zoom but otherwise it can.. The macro is great . But if you don't mind slow startup and operation ( although the image itself takes a tad slower then some other cameras for shutter lag, it really is barely competitive) It is slower to zoom and turn on and off though with and probably slower to buffer with , and this might bother someone. its easy to get camera shake indoors but the three plusses, very good image and 5x zoom lens and good vibrant color almost mandates this a decent buy if you don't mind the other things and the other things are really diminishing the quality of the shots for me. If Nikon would have improved on a few things they would have had an instant winner, instead daring customer to learn to acquiese and make do with stripped down version of their quality. If you take enough shots you may get great focus and resolution even if some are trashed from camera shake. An extremely tough call to make about over all quality, At first I really loved it now not so sure.

Problems: in default this camera gets some very nice photos. Probably has less noise then Sony, Panasonic but I don't like the fact it has no optical viewfinder and the battery door can't close with batteries installed. but myself being an image mizer, I still might keep it cause its hard to find a camera that takes good focused shots and has good color and decent zoom , this has all three. Recommend ? For 200 dollars its a hard call. The slowness really gets to annoy and no viewfinder irks me to ow end and with no stablizer one wants to know what was Nikon thinking.

Opinion: I have been using this camera for 4 months and am very happy with it. Its good features far outweigh the bad. The 5x zoom and lens quality are incredible and picture quality excellent. The in-camera auto red-eye fix, editing & cropping save editing time later. Movies are excellent, with sound. Very sturdy with incredibly bright and large screen, great for passing it around to view pictures. Flash range is short like most point and shoot digitals (don't try anything over 8 feet) and recycle time with flash slow, but it takes that long to get everyone ready for a second pic anyway. Flash photos are usually well exposed. In short, great easy-to-use camerar. Nikon has kept the best features while dumping advanced features most people don't use.

Problems: The huge screen eats alkaline batteries (use only in emergency). Be sure to get rechargeables, preferably 2500mh, which wil give you about 350-400 pics, depending on how much you use the LCD screen and flash.

Opinion: I loved the overall features of the camera, especially the 5x optical zoom.

Problems: The faults lie in the lag time. It takes forever to cycle with the flash using alkaline batteries.

Opinion: Ottimo lo zoom 5x e la costruzione.
Grandiosa l'esposizione.

Opinion: The camera have many pros, but one con ruins it all: The cycle time (shortest time between two photos taken in a row) with flash is worse than poor: About 10...11 seconds. It means that the camera is not suitable for indoor use (except some rare situations where either the object is stable or one single photo is enough).
