Sitting in the middle of the stylish Coolpix S range the S230 adds a 3.0" touch screen to the budget S220 model and gets fatter, more expensive and a user interface that's high on novelty but low on utility. Otherwise it's a pretty run of the mill slimline point-and-shoot with a 3x zoom and a smattering of scene modes.

Opinion: One of cheapest touchscreen camera which bring up next level of p$sh cameras. Though it has very nice colorful photos in a sunny weather, it takes terrible picture in cloudy weather. Also with flash it was only able to take photos only from very close distance. After all not a good camera for less light situation. Not what I expected from Nikon.
Opinion: The keep and feel - extra
Image quality - very disapointing in this context ...
My old 2MP Nikon 950 did far more better pictures ...
Problems: Some minor software issues
Opinion: read the manual, then use the camera,
excellent for PS in when using scene selection mode
macro is awesome
Problems: none
Opinion: good starter camera, love the touch screen
Problems: none
