Opinion: i. think is OK.
Opinion: Awesome...
Problems: None.
Opinion: The Nikon rep was at Samy's Camera yesterday and he was kind enough to allow me to play with the S4 for about a half hour and view the images on a large LCD monitor. Results were great; the "twisted" view finder brought me back to the Rollie and YashicaMat days. This is even better! I figure it's going to do much of what I now do with my Nikon 8800; with about an 80% size and weight savings.
Problems: While I ordered an S4 on the spot and I'm really looking forward to using it, the design won't really come into its own until it has an anti-vibration mechanism and a direct viewfinder. No one can do fast sports shots in bright sunlight without a direct viewfinder and that's one of the best potential uses of the S4. Making it water resistant would be another big plus.
Opinion: Recieved my new S4 the other day.
I can't say enough about the camera.
The design is awsome. Small light weight and the 2.5 lcd is total bright enough to see what you doing inside and out.
I had a coolpix 990 a while back but it got to big to carry around so I bought CoolPix 3100.was very happy to see nikon come out with this design again.
Great camera
Problems: Nikon has to come out with a glass filter for the front glass.
If they don't I guess you just have to be carefull with it.
