Opinion: I can take this camera everywhere I go with me. It is so small and light for me with its 1442. And I can use all my high level lens on it. The art filters are very useful even only three ones. Sometimes, I think about the E-Pens for my daily life photo. But, I change my idea whenever I see this little guy. One of the important reason is that it is very easy for me to use my all 43 lens on it and it is still very light, the same portable to the E-Pens.

It is said that its cmos is the same one to the E3's. But I do not I think so. The noise is more than E3 when the ISO is higher than 400. The highest ISO I can use is only 400 and still wores than my E3.

Problems: Useable ISO is up to 400

Opinion: Had one of these for a couple of years with the twin lens kit and 25mm pancake lens. Great for travel if you want better than a digicam pictures as genuinely light and compact. Good for photographing the camera shy as it's not intimidating. Only downsides ISO only adjustable in whole stops and no IS, but for the money it's a steal for a DSLR.

Opinion: The e450 is quite the mini-mite. Well built, feature packed, small and light, comfortable to hold and operate. I like that it is so customizable, and has so many software items to choose from for image output. The e450 supports monochrome shooters desires by given them an array of filters, modes, and settings to chose from.

Color is completely customizable, it even has a "master" white balance setting that you can adjust for all wb/settings.

Live view works very good as a secondary system to the optical viewfinder (which is very decent for a camera of this size). If you can find a refurbished model with a kit lens, its a heck of a deal, either way retail price or deal, this camera is worth the cost for someone looking for a small lightweight full featured solution to normal sized DSLR gear.

Although a small upgrade to the e420, the upgrades do count. The better LCD screen is excellent outdoors and has excellent viewing angles. The faster contrast AF in live view is also welcomed... and the art filters will tempt you whether you want to admit it or not.

The e450 will charm you with its diminutive size, powerful little engine, which is surrounded by a dense and comfortable shell.

A kick in the butt fun dslr that will beg you to take it out and test your creative desires. A wonderful minimalists camera that doesn't want to sacrifice image quality or feature set.

A great backpackers/trail runners DSLR.

Carl

Opinion: Took this little camera out for a walk alongside with my trusted Sony R1. Comparing pictures side by side the E450 and the superb R1 are as sharp. I still need to learn to get the best setup on the E450 to get the best colors out, but for now I am very impressed by the little lens performance.
