Opinion: Got this 1 as a gift, and in a very short time was taking awesome looking pictures with it...Love the features especially the swivel LCD.. A great camera for the first time buyer, and the price was almost the best part.. The Wife paid just over $300 Canadian... Very good on batteries as long as you use the Nimh 2000...
Problems: The flash could be a bit stronger, the side flap that opens to expose the USB plug in is a bit flimsy...
Opinion: My 1st digital camera;I was very intimidated by digital cams, found this one very easy to use, packed with great features.Very good for 1st timers, really good value for entry level cam, paid around $300 CDN.I feel I got a great deal! The swivel lcd was a strong selling point for me,and Ive used it already in all sorts of ways.Love using black/white option as well.Seems to take great pics!I love this camera!
Problems: Had problems with Sandisk sd 256mb card, there is an update for this now,but have since got a Lexar 256 card,no problems!
Opinion: Good point-and-shoot camera, with an easy menu and a nice swivel LCD.
Problems: The movies could have sound
Battery life is poor compared to other cameras.
Very weak body.
Opinion: This is my 4th Digital Camera... I have used Olympus 4040, Fuji S602Z, Canon S230? (my brother's) and the new Pentax Optio 33LF. Main purpose of this camera is to take snap shots at social gatherings. And so far I am very happy with output that this camera produces. To my surprise, auto white balance seems to work better than my S602Z. However there are little more visible noise than any other camera I own. Like other reviewers mentioned, I am really enjoying the unique features not found in this price range such as swirlving LCD and easy and fast camera operations. Buttons are well placed out and slide feature for reviewing adds definate 'fun' factor.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend this camara to anyone who wants to take a good quality pictures for web sharing and maybe even small prints.
Problems: here's some minor complaints....
Rubber Piece covering usb connector seems like it's not going to survive 6months... becoming loose already after 4days of use..
plastic body... feels like I am holding a toy camera sometimes.. should be okay as long as I don't drop it.
Included software (ACDSee) says I have the invalid serial number that it refused to install.. well?
