Opinion: This camera takes good high resolution pictures. However the memory card has low capacity.

Problems: Camera consumes entirely too much battery life. 4 AA batteries last for only 10 photographs (flash supported). Memory cards can hold approximatelly 8 high resolution pictures.

Opinion: This camera is very impractical. I am only getting about 10 shots per set of batteries (4xAA). Plus, the 4 Meg card will hold only about 8 high resolution pictures.

Problems: When you go out for a day of site seeing and picture taking and come back with only 10 shots because the batteries died or the memory card was filled, it is very disappointing.

Opinion: Overall not very satisfied, particularly as this was my first
digital; image quality very good;

Problems: in harsh light conditions in australia, the lcd monitor was
unviewable; needed a viewfinder like toast needs butter ; ricoh
replaced it for me on these grounds with a 5000; would buy
ricoh again

Opinion: I have had this camera for two years and especially enjoy the compact quality, the resolution, and the quality of the photos.

Problems: Battery consumption and lack of an optical view finder. Limited Smart Media to 8MB(eg. 12 photos at good resolution)

Opinion: Feature-rich and light, but not that easy to use, especially in low light conditions. After problems with battery charger resorted to using batteries, but battery life is miserable. It requires fresh batteries before each photo shoot and they die midway through. Lithium batteries may last for a day.

Problems: Battery charger and rechagable batteries supplied with camera failed after minimal use. Software for PC connection does not seem to be compatible with Windows 98.

Opinion: Easy to use, pity there isn't an optical viewfinder,
Compact and light. Good flash. 3x optical zoom is good, and Macro is excellent...

Problems: Battery usage
