Opinion: This camera is unbelievably easy to use, however you really need to read the manual (158+ pages) to figure out all the great features this camera has.
The sad part is - it is only available direct from Ricoh or Fry's Electronics, and of the two only Ricoh has online ordering (plus they have posted on their website they will be sold out before Christmas).
Also had to pay full price too, but it's the first time in a long time I haven't mind doing it after I'd been able to get the product in my hands and be able to see what it can do. The order came in the same week too.
I ordered the extra battery when I ordered and highly recommend doing so. (Just ordered remote and AC power cable yesterday).
To say I love this camera is a gross under statement.
If you want a great camera get one before they are gone.......
Problems: Absolutely none, and knowing Ricoh quality I'd really be surprised if I need them.
Opinion: Questions on the Spec.s
What is the movie mode frame per second?
What sort of battery life?
Flash range?
Thanks, Kevin
Opinion: it fell apart in 3 days; there is n lense
Opinion: Extremely horrible piece of machinery. I bought it thinking that it was a cool camera with a unique design. BAD IDEA. The design is so horrible.... when I had someone take a picture for me on the day after I received the camera, they dropped it! Read on for more info about that...
Problems: 1) Design. The camera is designed in such a way that it is impossible to firmly grip. Not only that, but anyone holding the camera will ALWAYS 100% cover up the flash with their finger. When you tell them to take their finger off the flash their grip on the camera is even weaker.
2) Colour.... for some reason all pictures coming out of this camera are not red enough and seem kind of bland. Images are typically blurry and lack read definition.. even with the camera sharpness turned all the way up.
3) Flash. The flash on the camera is either too dim or too bright. It really lights everything up way too brightly, making peoples faces ghostly white.
4) Function. The camera has no battery indicator on the LCD or anywhere else until battery power has almost run out. Brilliant... I won't know how much power is left until it's too late.. gee
