Opinion: A S760 é uma câmera popular com uma imagem excelente. Ótima reprodução de cor, nitidez afiada, boa gama dinâmica. Comparada a outras câmeras na mesma categoria ela oferece muito por um preço convidativo, o que já notei ser uma política acertada da Samsung para conquistar mercado. Ela não decepciona: possuo também a Nikon L10 e a Olympus FE350 Wide, sendo a S760 a melhor, disparado. Excelente relação custo/desempenho. Óbviamente é uma câmera popular, tem limitações evidentes e comuns, portanto tem que ser avaliada como tal.
Talvez seja o mesmo com a S860, de 8 Mpixels. E os 7 Mpixels da S760 são mais do que suficientes para mim que sempre me contento com 3 a 5 Mpixels.
Problems: Há raras ocasiões em que ela “congela”, pára com a objetiva para fora e não responde a nenhum botão da mesma forma quando um PC “trava”. Assim como no PC, deve-se dar um “boot” na mesma, ou seja abre-se o compartimento das baterias e fecha-se em seguida e ela volta ao normal. Pude notar que isto se dá apenas quando as baterias estão com carga já baixa, o que é compreensível, mas é uma falha que a Samsung não contornou. Não é corriqueiro nem comprometedor. Já aconteceu apenas uma vez com a Nikon e nunca com a Olympus. Este defeito também é relatado por pessoas dos EUA e UK, com se vê na internet.
Também acho falta de uma lente grande angular tipo 28mm, mas quase todas as compactas ficam nos 34-38mm; raras são as “wide” como minha Olympus.
Opinion: Surprisingly good and full-featured camera. Especially
for the price, it's better than I expected. Outsides it
easily matches or even beats any other (much more
expensive) pocketable digicam. There are some
weaknesses when shooting insides (see below), but
they are not fatal. There is also a D760 model which is
exactly the same as S760 but with some minor design
differences.
Pros:
- Price. It's possibly one of the cheapest cameras
around. The build though not fantastic is still decent.
Once you put in the batteries there are no squeaks or
anything.
- Image quality in normal light is pretty good indeed.
- There is a ton of modes and settings. Scene/portrait
etc modes are usual but there is even "full-manual"
mode (but with no manual focus and with only two
aperture settings).
- 640x480 30fps movie mode is something you may
miss on other similarly priced cameras. Note though
that microphone is on the top (as opposed to the
usual front location) so your voice/comments will be
louder than whatever sounds your object makes. And
you can also use optical zoom while filming, yay!
- Uses standard AA batteries or rechargeables and SD
cards. The card is seen as mass-storage device when
plugged to PC. Battery life seems good enough for
me.
- The interface is pretty straightforward and quite
snappy.
Problems: Cons:
- AF-Assist lamp in my experience is *absolutely*
useless. In dim conditions at close ranges it does light
up the spot noticeably but the camera still reports
"Low Light" and misfocuses. And there is no manual
focus. So, it's more anti-red-eye or self-timer lamp than
AF-assist.
- The flash indeed is low-powered and has some
vignetting (darker corners). It's ok if you shoot faces
from 1-1.5 meters, but longer than that it may be a
tough call. Backgrounds are always dark on flash
photos.
- The minor annoyance is that in "Auto" mode the
flash by default is always in red-eye-removal mode
(pre-flash, then normal flash) so snapshotting takes a
bit longer than usual.
Opinion: I bought this camera for my daughter's 10th. Birthday last year (2008), and as far as overall features & photo quality, I think it's a pretty good camera. It was fairly priced $89.00 CDN and for the money, I would highly recommend this camera. About the only minor thing I could complain about in this camera is that the flash is just a bit too weak for my taste, but all in all for a gift camera for a child, I wouldn't hesitate to give this as it's not expensive yet still has some fair quality to it. So...if it breaks somehow, it's not a great loss financially.
Problems: Wish flash was just a bit stronger
Opinion: É minha primeira câmera, apesar de eu já ter "trabalhado" com uma Sony F717. A qualidade da imagem é muito boa, apesar de eu sentir falta de foco manual (acostumado com a F717). A qualidade do vídeo também é excelente. Não me arrependo da compra.
Problems: Não é bem um problema, mas sinto falta de um macro maior, tipo 2cm da Sony. O macro de 10cm da S760 é praticamente como se não tivesse macro.
