Opinion: For the price paid (£599 twin lens kit), exceptional DSLR. Clone of Pentax K10D. 10Mpix, weather sealed body, optical image stabilization, large and bright pentaprism viewfinder with 0.95x magnification, dust reduction by anti-static coating and sensor shake, good battery (500-800 shots), 11 point AF, User definable Auto ISO, Large, bright and high resolution LCD monitor, proper hinged doors covering the connectors (not the cheap rubber bungs), etc, etc.

Problems: No external battery grip available. Firmware support under question. Lens availability is poor at the moment.

Opinion: I did a lot of reading before buying this camera. I wanted a camera that was going to be
compatible with my Pentax AF lens collection. I had initially decided to purchase the
new Pentax K10 but at the last minute decided to compare it with the Samsung GX10.
Am I glad I did? You bet, I saved over £200. The Samsung is a rebadged Pentax. The
specs are almost identical. Compare them if you have any doubts. In short before you
buy the Pentax check out the Samsung.

Opinion: I checked out the Pentax K10d before buying the Samsung GX10. Finally decided to get the Samsung on the price.
For the money I would have paid for a Pentax with one Lens I got the Twin lens kit plus 1 extra year gurantee.

The camera is easy to use and produces stunning results. The magazine reviews are correct you do need to tweek the controls to get the best results but that is part of the fun.

I have traded up from an Olympus c8080 (great camera) and the extras with the GX10 are worth the money.

Highly recomended - also great the firmware updates have now been released to keep pace with the Pentax k10 changes.

Problems: No Problems at all.

Opinion: I have had the GX 10 for over a week now & i can only recommend this excellent camera. Paid £599.00 with twin lens. I checked out the Pentax 10D first but decided to go with the GX 10 as it is exactly the same camera but is much cheaper & comes with an extra 1 year guarantee.
Overall image quality & build is exceptional. At thjs price i would definatly recommended over it's rivals such as the D80,A100 & 400D.
This is a camera that will last you for years especially as it comes with sensor dust removal, excellent build & anti shake system.

Problems: No problems
