Opinion: A easy to use camera. Takes very good pictures. I liked this camera.
Opinion: Thanks guy.Because u all give a good comment about this camera,i bought it without hasitate.this is my first digicam.I actually looking for a camera that can take a good picture and very handy.Well,i found it.I like this camera because it is really cool stuff.Large LCD and it is touch screen.For me,i think this is the best camera ever.
Problems: Im not sure if u guys had this problem or not/
1-when i go to video mode,i cannot focus on the object.
2-when take picture in the dark,it's very hard to get a better image.so,i just shoot
Opinion: very nice camera for a point n shoot,big lcd touch screen,bright n sharp.but you have to be used to it.overall,its really a good camera to have.if u prefer a more functional camera,this may not be one of your choice but for a simple outdoor n indoor as well,its a good choice.image quality is very good for a program mode which i always use.well recommended for a person who just want to have fun taking pictures.8mp really works good.
Problems: so far,its been 9 months since i bought this camera,no problems at all with the way the camera works.but a small but not noticed single scratch on my lcd,i just wish its a scratch proof screen...
Opinion: 1) I must admit. Never in my life a touch screen"touched" me so much :-)
It is a really lightning responsive touch screen.
2) The Finger focus option?! oh my god. it's unbelievable ! you just point the camera towards some scene, and then touch the area with the persons face on it, and it focuses instanly on this point. Amazing. AND . . . it's the same in movies. just point the camera at something, and touch the screen and during video you control the focus accurately
3) The outdoor photos looks very good. You should, by the way, turn the "Sharpness" to "+". Then you get a real sharp focus in your photos.
4) The 30second 2.8 night shots are a true miracle. I've never experienced such a thing in a digital. It makes a 01:00 am night look like it was 08:00 in the morning (except the warm sun effect, of course).
5) The 8.1 mp image is huge. One that wishes to make big prints, will be definitly satisfied.
6) Respect . . . you get a lot of looks if you hold it in the middle of the street. It's a girlish camera. Almost only 1 button hh :-)
7)Flash with a 5 m' guide number? Holy s*** ! works great. first camera I see making sich bright flash photos in a distance.
8)Doesn't have sharp edges in it's design. sliding easy to the pockets because of it. very convenient.
9) Buy a 4 g"b SunDisk Memory Pro Duo card, and you'll be able to shoot 3.5 hours of 640x480 15 fps video. or 1 hour 30 fps. All with great sound! I'm actually using this function to record lessons and lectures in my Hi-Tech college. MCSE course studying at home, could never been easier.
10) Guys, it's a Sony. You buy it, and you can ALWAYS sell it for high price. It's Sony. really. there are rare cameras such as these for sale, and you're almost guarabtee to make a nice move to the next generation in a few years selling this one for a nice sum of $ .
Problems: 1) ACCESSORIES . . .
What the hek they think?
A) A power cord
B) A USB cable
IS MISSING. SONY wants us to buy this essential gear at top market prices. Here, in Israel it costs like 90$ for battery and another 90$ for each cable. outrageous ! In other companies' cameras I got those for free, and it's not even called "Acessories".
The charger wich comes with the camera is a 5 hour charger. the quick one,1.5 hour charge, which is sold as an "accessory" you can buy for like 80$.
In all . . . WTF ?!

2) noise. I'm used to less noise in my pictures. watch the reviews' galleries, judge for yourself. But remember, it's natural for a small size chip to have noise. even at ISO 64. almost invisible, but exist! sony must eliminate this sham in the N2, or whatever.
3) talking about the N2, while making all kind of "Chick cameras in pink (the new T10) where is the long awaited N2? this model came out in like November 2005, almost a year have passed since.
4) I miss Image Stabilization, but the 2.8 definitely makes up for the lack of it. N2 must have IS built in. but then it'll be perfect, and I'll never buy a camera after it= SONY will never make it . . . profit dudes . . . :-(
5) That's it. Think about the Advantages VS. disadvantages and just go buy it :-)

Opinion: Excelent foto quality for outside and sunny or well ilumunated subjects. Outside
photograph taken outside with a tripod can easily be enlarged for a 30 X 40 cm and
end up with a very good photo quality. Easily handled by a MAC G4 without even
installing any software.Touch screen is very handy and practical.. Quite nice LCD,
large, bright and fairly easy to view even when sunny.Menu is not intuitive. Easy to get
lost. Battery is quite good and last a lot.
Problems: Quite dificult to get a focused pictured if subject is not very well iluminated. Most
photos taken need refocusing with your Photoshop. In general it has a poor focus
system. Also, very poor for shooting a film if scene is slight dark. Lens distortion can
easily be noticed in photographing landscape and skyline.
Opinion: Just had to comment on this camera. I bought this camera for my wife but I think I am having more fun with it. The pictures we have taken so far are absolutely outstanding. I had been hanging on to my Sony F707 as a backup to my Nikon D200, but this little N1 is so superb, that I am now going to sell the F707 on ebay.
I should also add that the movies have been excellent quality as well. With our 2 GB stick, we can get 500 jpgs. And I think it will do an 18 minute movie. (not positive about that).
I really love this little cam!
Opinion: Great Camera!!
Problems: Only thing I dont like is that the Stylus has to be connected to the wrist strap, and the $50 leather case LCS-NA does NOT have a belt loop! Also, if you use the leather wrist strap that comes with the case, you cannot attach the Stylus.
Opinion: Very nice outdoors photos. Battery life good
Opinion: Great camera! excellent outdoor pictures and movie mode. Some problems caused by the absence of image stabilization but nothing to compliant about.
Problems: None for now
