Opinion: This is actually an interesting cam... To switch it on, you don't "slide" the cover downwards, rather it tilts out, then slides down - like the door on a van. This is also the camera's weakness, as it REALLY easy to launch it out of your hand when opening it!!!
Image quality is pretty good for such a small cam, though I'll need to take a close look at my T200 pictures and see if corner and edge sharpness are the same.
The 4GB internal memory comes in VERY handy. The "Scrapbook" feature is nice, but utterly pointless to me. Young teenie girls love it though.
Overall another good cybershot, but my own preference would be a T200.
Opinion: Great item... very easy to use... great features with 'smile detector'....
Compact body make this T2 very handy... congrate Sony...
Problems: Only touch screen menu... hardly to use with your hand, especially if your have big fingers... feel not suitable if you need to bring it's pointer along...
Opinion: To bring along pointer is very easy. The pointer has a hole at one end for threading it into the handstrap before you installl the handstrap onto your camera.
I use this camera in my work and often with macro on and flash off. Result very good. It serves the purpose of my work.
Problems: It takes too long for re-charging battery - almost 4 hours. Better put battery on re-charge before you go to bed.
Opinion: i've been using dsc-w1 since 2004 and i bought the dsc-T2 last month (june '08). Photo quality comparison: w1 is a lot better... i regret buying T2. Design: T2 design is really cool & handy compared to my W1. Overall: i still prefer my W1... :-(
Problems: - photo quality is poor, even outdoor pics...
