Opinion: Very small and very pockatable. Good images for a small fixed lens digicam. So easy to use even my young son can take decent shots. Very fast start up and battery life is pretty good for the 2 AAA size Ni-Mh batteries. Outdoor shots are terrific, indoors are quite acceptable and closeups are okay. All in all a good mini camera that you can take anywhere.

As a fixed lens camera, you'll need to use your feet to get closer to subjects but this is a small issue as the pictures are really pretty good. However some care needed for closeups with flash as some highlights can be overexposed.

Only cons are the supplied 8mb Memory Stick which is inadequate. A 16mb stick would have been useful. I eventually got a 64mb Memory Stick which is plenty. However Memory Sticks aren't terribly cheap compared to other types of memory cards but you have no other choice. The initial battery charge is 13 hours!!!. Would have liked a rapid charger to have been included, but spare batteries are cheap. No optical zoom but perhaps a digital zoom feature could have been included.

Overall I'd recommend it to anyone who really wants a compact fuss free camera. Colours are nice too!

Problems: No problems. Camera works faultlessly. Software provided is simple and caused no problems on my PC.

Opinion: Got this on Amazon for £200 incl delivery (Jessops also do it at that price but had none in stock). The main criteria for buying this camera for my wife was size and ease of use. My main camera is a FujiS602 and I also use a Pentax Optio 330GS on a daily basis. The Sony fulfills the critera - it is SO small, yest surprisingly easy to use. The menus are logical as are keypresses required for menu changes. It is an advantage to have 2 AAA as a power source as they are readily available. As mentioned everywhere the 8MB card that comes with it is never enough, but it is like that with most cameras! Startup time and image capture is quite fast with the 8mb card. Well worth a look if you are in the market for a bring anywhere point and shoot camera but don't want to have VGA only shots.

Opinion: Very cute 'take it anywhere' camera'. Completely foolproof and quite good pictures too. Has its limitations (like the limited reach of its flash) but what can you expect for this size? It's so small, fast and easy to use that it really shines in taking pics of unexpected situations. I've bought an 128Mb stick with it, which should last a moderately long holiday. It cannot compete with bigger cameras but was never meant that way. Highly recommended as a snapshot and 'no worries' camera.

Problems: None

Opinion: Over all this is a very fun SMALL camera. Its the size of a cell phone and you can take it anywhere! Although, the image quality is average, it gets the job done. For those of you who just want a point and shoot, fun camera. The u20 is a great camera. For those of you who want more out of your camera... go for something with more mp's.

Problems: Red line when taking bright sunlight pictures. (ie. Taking picture of sun, hey sometimes u want to.) Sometimes picture quality is poor.
