Opinion: This an excellent snapshot camera. Assuming you don't want to print your photos at large sizes, it's easy to use and offers solid color reproduction. It's features are not particularly robust, but it is quite convenient and saves me the cost of printing a bunch of photos that I don't really need to show anyone. The fact that it writes to disk is a real time saver, too, since I don't have to hook the camera into a computer to carry my photos with me. Of course, I bought this camera used for $150. I guess my expectations would be much higher if this had cost me $700.

Problems: The battery, which is supposed to last 90 min., dies with 45-50 min. listed. I've bled it down w/o improvement. Also, the camera has significant fringes in high contrast situations. Make good use of EV, because the camera often overexposes without it.

Opinion: I bought this camera brand new when it was "state of the art" at over $700 a few years ago and still use it on almost a daily basis for taking pictures for my auctions. I still use the same battery that came with the camera and still get good use time out of it although it doesn't last as long as it did when it was new, but that is expcted. Overall at has been a good performer with no real problems. I like the fact that it takes pictures onto a floppy disk (that was one of the main reasons I bought the camera) they can go straight to the computer, what a time saver. Floppy's are almost free now and I can take a poket full where ever I go.

Problems: Less than 1 megapixel. Hard to get a good quality picture any bigger than a 5x7 out of my printer. although smaller pictures are of good quality. Slow to focus in low light. Very whimpy flash, only good for about 6 or 7 feet. Bulky to take places. Only 3x zoom.
