Opinion: Having owned 3 digicams before this one I would rate this camera a 10 it has all the features of a camera costing much more if you want to experement with manual controls you have it I don't think you buy a camera I paid $279.00 and have all these features put my 3 other cameras together and they still don't have the bells and whistles of the pdr3300
Problems: the small memory card and I bought the camera in Dec and it needed a upgrade to use 128mb sandisk memory other cards seem to be OK
Opinion: I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 3M camera.
Great pics indoor and outdoor, lots of controls, very good micro mode, good night shots. Best of all, it is only 349 canadian dollars, even cheaper than a 2MP camera. You just can't find anything else better with this price.
Problems: Battery life is very short if you use alkaline batteries come with the camera.
Opinion: I was originally going to buy a Cannon A40 but when I found the Toshiba 3330 I decided to try it. I was very apprehensive to buy a Toshiba because of it's lack of notoriety and reviews.
My fears were put to rest after I got to spend some quality time trying all the bells and whistles.
For the money this camera is hard to beat. No where could I find all these features for $300.
Problems: None
Opinion: This is my third digital camera. I've had the kodak dc 4800, sony p71, and this camera. This one has the most advanced feature set by far. The camera can be bought for 220 bucks at refurbdepot.com. You will find no other camera that has this many user controlled features at anywhere near this price. If you go to toshiba.com you can download the manual for this camera and see the features for yourself. I was suprised at the image quality. It outperformed the sony p71 easily indoors with a flash and outdoors without. The pictures were noticably sharper. Shutter lag is acceptable. It booted up just fine on windows 2000 and mac os x.2 (jaguar) without installing anything. It holds about 100 images on a 128 card at full size. This camera is a great buy. If you need a camera that lets you set aperture, shutter speed, film speed, and white balance manually this camera is the one. At 220 bucks you will not be dissapointed.
Problems: The lcd screen is mediocre. The lcd on the sony is noticeably sharper and more detailed. Startup time is also slow. It does eat batteries, but the ability to use cheap ni mh rechargeables makes it easy and cheap to keep a couple of backup sets in your bag. Macro capability is limited. For good macro you need to buy the optional lens mount and macro lens from tiffen.
