Opinion: This is a very good camera that is packed with the features some of the expensive cameras have. Very good price. Exellent image quality!

Problems: the lens cap tends to fall off.

Opinion: I did much research on this camera before buying it for my dad for Christmas. I liked the packed features for the low price. It only recently shipped (Dec '01) and few retailier or etailers had it in stock. I finally picked one up at Good Guys. I tested it for several days, taking indoor, outdoor, macro with/without flash using the three ISO settings. I was quite disappointed in the picture quality, which tended to be slighly undexposed with dull colors. The flash was quite poor for indoor pictures. The camera certainly packs many more features and the usabiity is quite better than other sub-$300 digital cameras, but the images were not very good. I returned it and purchase a Fuji Finepix 2600 and was quite pleased with the image quality in various conditions, although the Finepix has fewer features than the Toshiba.

Problems: Underexposed pictures with dull colors. Plastic manual lens cap is inconvenient. The lens barrel blocks the lower left corner of the field of view when using wide angle on the optical view finder, a blatant design flaw. Poor flash.

Opinion: I wouldn't buy this camera ! I tested the PDR-25 the last two days (50 pics) and the image quality was extremly poor.
The problem are indoor pics: The autofocus works in only 30-50 % of the shots. So you can't take pics with the flash, also the colours seem to be weired...
I returned the camera and now got a Canon Powershot A20. There is no comparison, this camera works !

Problems: Autofocus doesn't work correct indoors, colours are sometimes not accurate. Display is cheap.

Opinion: You get what you pay for, perfect example. A good beginner amateur camera at a low cost. Still better than an HP camera.

Problems: The AF (auto focus) works 50% or less taking picures. The flash relects yellow. You can't take pictures across a dinner table without being blurry. Average decent shot ranges from 5 to 7 feet. Macro shots are awesome for the cost of this camera though. Indoor shots are almost useless.
