Kodak DCS Pro SLR/c (ISO 160) vs. Canon EOS-1Ds (ISO 100)

This comparison as per the first comparison page (both cameras at ISO 160) however we shot these images in RAW mode and converted them using the supplied RAW conversion software (you may well get better results using third party applications such as Adobe Camera RAW or Phase One's Capture One Pro). (There aren't enough hours in the day or pages available in this review to explore every possible combination of RAW and RAW converters).

Crops are taken from a TIFF output by the RAW converter, linked images are these TIFF's saved as high quality JPEG from Adobe Photoshop CS.

Camera settings:

• Kodak DCS Pro SLR/c: Canon EF 50 mm F1.4, Aperture Priority,
  ISO 160, RAW, Manual WB, Mirror Lock-up self-timer, Kodak DCS Photo Desk 4.0
   
• Canon EOS-1Ds: Canon EF 50 mm F1.4, Aperture Priority,
  ISO 100, RAW, Manual WB, Shp+2, Mirror Lock-up self-timer, Canon EOS Viewer Utility 1.0

As you would expect, lower visible noise on the EOS-1Ds image, no other noticeable difference.
