Compared to... Olympus SP-500UZ

At ISO 400 neither result really impresses - the Z650 image looks soft (thanks to the strong noise reduction and fairly harsh JPEG compression), but retains its rich color (Kodak's strong point is crowd-pleasing color). The Olympus image - though showing more obvious artefacts - has retained detail better and looks a lot sharper. I doubt you'd see much difference between these shots in either noise or detail in a small print (6x4 inches), but you wouldn't want to push either to a much bigger print - the combined effect of noise and noise reduction is just too destructive.
